I never had a late payment and never had to pay interest.

Since they never collected interest money from me, I'm guessing they didn't want me to have their credit card anymore. What a lousy way to do business!!

BMO is a lousy bank because they penalize a person for paying a credit card on time. They do not notify a person in advance that they are canceling a credit card.

The notification arrived approximately 3 week after the card was canceled. Neither a phone call and a visit to the bank itself provided no information as to why the credit card was canceled.

Get the Lienholder

I called to get the lien holder off my vehicle so I could sell it but that was a joke because I was talking to somebody in India when they kept me on hold to talk to the people who bought bank of the west nothing got resolved because she didnt know what she was doing and whoevers at the bank didnt know what they were doing

IPhone stolen at ATM’s at branch

On May 7, 2024, at the Keefer and Main Street branch in Vancouver, I was using the ATM inside the branch at the front entrance of the store. A man slowly walked up to me, slid his hand into my left-side jacket pocket, pickpocketed my iPhone 14, and then ran out of the branch.

He ran down Keefer avenue; I chased him for a few blocks but he was too fast and got away with my one-week-old iPhone 14. I returned to the Keefer branch to find the security guard who is usually stationed at the front entrance to prevent robberies and thefts. He wasn't at his usual spot but I found him sleeping in a chair in the customer waiting area. When I woke him up and asked why he was sleeping since I had just been robbed, he claimed he was not sleeping but merely resting his eyes.

He hadn't seen anything happen. I then approached a branch teller to make a complaint and inquire if anything was recorded on the security footage. They said they couldn't help and that it wasn't their problem, further stating that the video cameras don't record. I reported the incident to the police and filed an official complaint with a manager at the Commercial and Broadway branch in Vancouver.

The manager, named Tim, was very helpful and empathetic. He said he would file the complaint with the head office. Tim called me a week later and said that their security team had reviewed the footage; they couldn't see anything. I was adamant that there should be security footage from the ATM because I was in the process of withdrawing cash.

A few minutes later Tim called back, saying they had further reviewed the footage and found an image of a man pickpocketing me. The team told him the thief was very slick and stealthy in his actions. I was informed someone from upper management would contact me about covering my cost of $974 to replace my iPhone 14 as that was my request to BMO considering the security guard failed to perform his duties that day. A week later, I received a phone call from someone at their head office stating they couldn't clearly identify the man who stole my iPhone.

They stated they won't be covering the cost of replacing my iPhone because the security guard was present and didn't see anything happening, despite having been told a week earlier that the security team had identified someone stealing my iPhone on the footage. I've escalated the complaint and am waiting for a return call.

Who ever is reading this, please inform all your friends about this incident, urge them to call BMO and insist they cover the cost of my iPhone. Moreover, recommend them against using that branch because no one there seems to care if customers get robbed.

Account Situation- Outside Canada

Hello sir, my name is Ahmet Onur BALCI, I have been to Canada as a student last year during this time . I was client and I opened account BMO Harris Bank 55 Bloor Street West Toronto Ontario, M4W 1A6.

I cIosed my account at December 28 2023 because I left country and get a paper about it. Also I closed my Canadian phone number too, so I can`t get any information about on phone texts or calls. I am sending this email to be sure about both my savings and chequing accounts and my card`s situation.

I need to talk to someone to solve my interest In paying back the bank money I owe to them its been over a year and I want to pay them back for what I've been in debt with them for.

Some lady wrote a check to me I cashed ot ut turned to be bogus she got my atm and wrote 4 more checks in 3 days I had no money in thst account but the bank cashed 4 of her personal checks charged to my acct . Police dept could not find hr to be guilty so she feed now its on me and I want to make it right with the bank though payments.

But also I feel the bank should of never cash those checks of hers when the money in my acct was on the minus.

Hopefully they could split the losses with me.That would be more fair. Contact me so we can work something out as far as payments ty

Some had my bank card while I was in prison and deposited bad checks

Bank of the west did not help in any way someone stole my money and put bad checks into my account. They are not doing anything about it

Customer service is not helpful or able to explain to me why I have an additional amount of money added to my last payment.

My last payment is due today however, Im told that I have to pay an additional $500. No one is able to explain why.

I never had an issue until Bank of the west was brought out by BMO.

Customer service is terrible. This hasnt been resolved.

Payoff

Can't get anyone on the phone. If the automatic recorder picked up and asks for my info to find my loan, it said everytime my info doesn't exist.

I called about 10 different #'s and still can't get anyone to answer. I'm trying to pay off my loan and sent the payment to the correct address and it's still not picked up and are sending it back to me. In the meantime they took the monthly payment out of my account. The payoff payment was there days before my payment was due.

The post office is sending it back. I sent it next day air. I got the payoff which was good for 10 days.

It sat at the post office most of those days from tracking it. I just want to pay off this loan and never deal with this bank ever again.

Loan balance

Impossible to reach anyone. Call in menu is confusing. I tried calling to get some basic info on loan balance, and even though it recognized my number it gave no options for simply getting a live voice.

Closed account without notice

Bank allowed transfer into my account but wouldn't let me transfer it out use debt card, or pay bills. They closed my account without any notice.

To get money back that was in my account they are telling me I have to contact a 3rd party company to give account number of different account so they can transfer the money.

Bank of the west is a joke do not use them! If you have them now I would recommend getting a new bank before this happens to you.

Title for a car that was not signed since 2016

Bank of the West sent a title for a car and it wasnt signed. I can not get license plates for the car and that means I cant drive it.

I faxed the paperwork over to bank and I have not heard a word.

BMO did not disclose there Ponzi scheme that resulted in a pay off a $550 million fine to the depositors of the Bank of West full disclosure should be in place for the depositors should be notified of the bank, taking over that has been convicted of a Ponzi scheme
